My Kind of Hymn

Featuring the award winning Exmoor Singers of London, this beautiful recording of Tablet readers’ top 20 favourite hymns includes 2 hauntingly exquisite bonus tracks, known to be favourites of the late Pope John Paul II, sung by the Polish mezzo-soprano Renata Jonscher.

The CD is accompanied by a booklet containing the lyrics off all the hymns as well as exclusive descriptions from contributors, ranging from the composers themselves, such as Daniel Schutte who writes about ‘Here I am, Lord’, to Renata Jonscher who describes how the late Pope John Paul II felt about the two hymns she sings in her native language, Barka (Lord You Have Come to the Lakeside) and Madonno Czarna (Black Madonna).
